Both a celebration of the art and a display of the finest bonsai Europe has to offer, The Trophy Exhibition has long been the annual meeting place of Europe's bonsai enthusiasts, and the event enthusiasts strive to one day show their tree at. ​

This historic, Silver Jubilee edition event will also celebrate the increasingly relevant aspect of bonsai pottery!

​​The annual Pot Display will for the first time, be open to both POTTERS and COLLECTORS! ​

The pot display, which the EBPC is honoured to have initiated and continue to organise, will host 2 contests!
             ... a 50ft display of works entered by potters themselves, and another 50ft display of pots submitted by collectors.

​Visitors will also be able to enjoy and revel in an honorary display put on by the great Peter Krebs of Germany! ​

Peter kindly agreed to exhibit some of his masterful creations, in a special display to celebrate the works of this most accomplished of European potters. 
Peter became a self-taught potter in the 1970s out of his enthusiasm for bonsai and antique pots and developed masterly skills over many productive years. Studying old Chinese pots was always very important to him. Peter Krebs is possibly the only bonsai ceramist to have mastered all known decoration techniques. Whether carving, inlay, engobe, glaze painting, modeled reliefs, unglazed pots with special surfaces or self-developed glazes, his pots have always been of strikingly high quality and accordingly sought after.
His current works, especially the elaborately painted pots, are of sensational beauty and a selection was awarded a prize at the Taikan-ten 2023 in Kyoto. The pots you will be able to see on display will be such painted works.

The Triskle Group will also be entertaining & educating visitors with a continuous pot-making demonstration.

We will also be treated by the famous trio 'Trickle', all leading artists in their own right, to a continuous pot-making demonstration during the event. 

Discover how these accomplished artists go about creating their fantastic bonsai ceramics. It is fascinating to witness the different dynamic styles of these leading artists from around Europe, fuse into one unique creation!

​The guys will also be happy to discuss their work and answer any pottery related questions you may have. ​​
