Vasart Bonsai Pots - Italy
By Samuele Quarena (painter) & Giovan Battista Quarena (ceramist)
Vasart Bonsai Pots are a father-son team from Italy, who have both long been passionate about art, especially bonsai and ceramics.
Father Giovan Battista has been keeping bonsai for 25 years. In 2010, when already a highly accomplished artist, he approached ceramics, making decorative vases, empty pockets, bowls and ceramic plates, exploring Raku and Naked Raku. Over the years, Samuele became more involved in the world of Bonsai and, little by little, involved his father in the creation of specific vases for Bonsai. In addition to vases, Vasart Bonsai Pots also make protective wooden boxes: Kiribako hand-decorated with the theme of the chosen vase.
... "Our style is Traditional Japanese, abstract and cartoon or any decoration that customer requires. We enjoy rising to the challenge of expressing our customer's requirements, and are constantly looking for new techniques, glazes and decorations". m
