Amdouni Bonsai Pots - France
By Sami Amdouni.
Sami Amdouni
Born in 1977, Sami started studying bonsai in September 2010 in the Scuola d'arte bonsai with the master Keyzo Ando. He has a great love for bonsai, and will remain studying under master Keyzo Ando until 2018.
In 2014, Sami worked in Japan as an apprentice to Thor Suzuki, in the célèbre daijuen garden. As part of his work there, he prepared bonsai for the Taikan-ten.
As a bonsai artist himself, Sami could sometimes not find the perfect pot for his much-loved trees; so in 2012, he began creating pots for his own trees ... at first. He soon discovered a hidden talent and another passion!
Inspired by the great Japanese ceramic masters, and his own trees, Sami has a preference for shohin, shitakusa and kusamono, and therefore makes mostly smaller but none the less beautiful ceramics.
