Ikigai Bonsai Stands by Miroslav Kolar.
Miroslav is a talented and hard working member of the U.K. bonsai scene, who specialises in Yew Bonsai and has kept trees now for over 2 decades.
Having always had a love of trees and working with wood, especially the fine carving detail, when Miroslav couldn't find the specific stands he needed, to display his own trees, he decided to design and create stands himself. His fine creations have been popular in the UK scene since. Specialising in ne taku (root stands) and jitta (refined wooden slab), Miroslav loves to experiment and work with different woods and to varying designs.
Ikigai 生き甲斐 is a Japanese concept, which can be translated as 'reason for being'. It relates to the life passion that drives a person each day.
