M.B. Bonsaischalen - Germany
By Mark Berenbrinker.
Marc Berenbrinker
Born in 1967, Marc lives in Germany with his wife and 2 children. He started creating pottery back in 2007.
For 25 years Marc enthusiastically kept bonsai and initially wanted to make bonsai pots designed for his own trees. He soon realised that pottery gives me a lot of enjoyment and satisfaction. He is fascinated by the possibilities that are possible, so continually tries to produce new designs, and improve his work. A hobby soon became a second profession, and Marc is now a highly regarded potter throughout Europe and beyond, and his work is much sought after.
Self-taught, Marc feels it the defeats in the early days which both; caused some doubt at times, and provided the challenge he relished.
These defeats, still occur, but are now outweighed by successes. ‘It's still very exciting to know what comes out of the kiln. Each dish will remain a challenge in the future and the possibilities are far from being exhausted.’
