Paul Rogers Ceramics - Wales, U.K.
By Paul Rogers.
Paul Rogers
Paul Rogers of Newport South Wales creates beautifully made bonsai ceramics often with with simple, classical forms, yet with dramatic textured finishes.
His frost-resistant stoneware is mostly hand-thrown on a potter's wheel, although he is also skilled in other hand-building techniques and has dabbled in sculpture. His main inspiration is from nature, and he enjoys replicating textures to his works taken from nature.
'' I hold artistic licence when making my pots, so each one is unique in its own right. It’s a great feeling following my natural artist touch and creating something beautiful from a handful of clay. I’m my own critic, and this drives my work to high standard.''
